A teacher claims she pocketed £100 from a mum who was 'late picking up their child from school'. Kristin Evans says she was paid the money due to the late pick up policy at her school, reports the Mirror.
She took to social media to explain the situation, stating that she was given the cash to pay back her lost time, as she needed to stay with the child until the parent showed up.
The teacher added that for every minute the parent was late, they were charged $2 - about £1.60.Therefore, Kristin ending up walking away with $116, about £97, from the parent's pocket.
In a TikTok video, the teacher didn't pass comment on the policy, but did look a little shocked. Kristin said: "The director of my school just walked up to me and handed me $116.
