A teacher who took some pupils to a strip club while he was drunk on a school trip overseas has been banned from teaching for three years.
IT teacher Richard Glenn also threatened some pupils during the tip to Costa Rica in July 2019, according to the Teaching Regulation Agency.
His behaviour was deemed so "unacceptable" at the time that he was sent home early, the BBC reports. A teacher at Longridge Towers School in Northumberland, Mr Glenn admitted gross misconduct.
The 55-year-old was dismissed in August 2019. Mr Glenn had been head of year at the private school, where day pupils pay £4,850 a term and boarders pay up to £9,800 a term, since 2007 where he also taught computer science.
