Taylor Swift has shown yet again that she is not prepared to take any casual sexism coming her way, not even if it comes from fictional characters on a hit Netflix show making a joke at her expense.

The award-winning singer has hit back at Netflix’s new TV show Ginny & Georgia, as she felt she was the butt of a ‘lazy’ and ‘deeply sexist’ joke.

Ginny & Georgia is a comedy-drama just released on the streaming platform and it is currently trending number two in Ireland.

Billed as a darker take on The Gilmore Girls as it revolves around the relationship between a young mother and her teen daughter, it’s already proving popular.
