Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.
The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.
The Democratic National Committee is capitalizing on Taylor Swift‘s endorsement with a Times Square digital ad and Las Vegas strip billboards that make reference to the superstar.
Shortly after the end of the debate on Tuesday, Swift announced that she was backing Harris, posting on Instagram, “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.” The digital billboard in Times Square feature rotating images of Harris and the tagline, “We’re in our Kamala era!” and “A New Way Forward…Ready For It?” Those are references to Swift’s Eras tour and her song …Ready For It?
The spots also direct viewers to IWillVote.com, just as Swift directed her fans to voter registration. The digital billboard is located 22 stories above the RED steps in Times Square.
The Vegas billboards also reference the “Kamala era” as well as a key moment from the debate, when Harris baited Donald Trump by noting that attendees to his rally left early because they were bored. “Exhausted by this guy?” the billboard reads, with a picture of Trump.
