Taylor Swift continues to make history with her music and this time 1989 (Taylor’s Version) has broken a record that the singer and songwriter set herself.
1989 (Taylor’s Version) is the latest release in Swift’s effort to own her music catalog completely and with its release on Friday, it became Spotify’s most-streamed album in 2023.
Swift also became the most-streamed artist in a single day in the music streamer’s history. Swift originally released 1989 in 2014 and the album featured hit songs like “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” “Style,” “Bad Blood,” “Wildest Dreams,” “Out of the Woods” and “New Romantics.” For this album, Swift went on to win Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2016 Grammys.
