Taylor Swift Returns to No. 1 On Billboard 200 Albums Chart With 'The Tortured Poets Department'

Taylor Swift is back at the top! The 34-year-old “Florida!!!” singer’s most recent album The Tortured Poets Department has returned to the No 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart, eight months after it’s original release, Variety reports. Keep reading to find out more… Taylor dropped the “Anthology” deluxe version of the album on November 29th, which features four vinyls and two cd sets, only at Target.

In the first full week of sales, the new version of TTPD notched 405,000 album units in the US. Traditional album units sold was 368,000, which brought the entertainer to break her own record for the biggest week overall for any album.

Previously, TTPD sold 439,000 units in its second week. This is The Tortured Poet Department‘s 16th non-consecutive week at No 1.

Back in July, Taylor broke Whitney Houston‘s 1987 record of being the only album by a woman to spend first 12 weeks at No 1. Whitney‘s record was 11 with her self-titled album Whitney.
