Taylor Swift has made a touching tribute to the victims of the Southport tragedy, as revealed by the families affected. The parents of Bebe King and Elsie Dot Stancombe, who were tragically killed at a dance class themed around the singer last summer, opened up in emotional interviews on Good Morning Britain today, reports the Mirror. They shared how Swift invited them to her record-smashing Eras Tour at Wembley and had previously expressed her dismay online over the incident.Elsie's parents, Jenni and David, recounted their meeting with Swift, where they showed her photos of their seven year old daughter. "Oh god, if Elsie knew that Taylor knew her, that all her dreams had come true," Jenni remarked.David added: "She [Taylor] kept a couple of pictures as well didn't she?" To which Elsie's mum confirmed, "Yeah we showed her the pictures and she went 'can I keep these?'".
The grieving parents described their encounter: "We met her back in Wembley, she asked to meet us personally and she was very lovely.
It was quite overwhelming but it was, it felt like we needed to do it. It was all these little glimmers that we had to try and find, we needed to find some light in the dark and it was."Axel Rudakubana, the perpetrator of the attacks, was sentenced to life imprisonment last month, as the community continues to honour the memories of the young victims.
