Taylor Swift allegedly turned down an invitation to perform at King Charles’ coronation concert in May, royal expert Omid Scobie claims in his new book, “Endgame.”Scobie did not specify why the “London Boy” singer declined the gig, but at the time she was performing the last of her three concerts in Nashville on the day of the king’s concert.
The Post has contacted a rep for Swift for comment. Several musicians were reportedly asked to perform at the historical event.
Swift’s ex-boyfriend Harry Styles, as well as Adele, Robbie Williams and the Spice Girls all apparently had better things to do.A rep for Elton John previously confirmed that the “Rocket Man” legend declined to perform due to scheduling conflicts.“American Idol” judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, as well as Andrea Bocelli and Take That, ultimately performed at the royal concert at Windsor Castle in front of 20,000 fans.
Richie fans, however, were “disappointed” by his voice and lackluster performance, with some even comparing his sound to Kermit the Frog or an amateur at a karaoke bar.
