The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has extended invitations to 398 artists and executives to join the organization.Notable names among this year's invitees include Taylor Swift — nominated for her musical contributions to films like and — 2023 Best Actor nominees Austin Butler and Paul Mescal, Keke Palmer, Bill Hader, and The Weeknd, professionally known as Abel Makkonen Tesfaye.Other notable invitees include several members of the team, including Best Supporting Actor winner Ke Huy Quan and his co-star and fellow 2023 nominee Stephanie Hsu, as well the writing-directing team The Daniels, who won Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay at this year's ceremony without being able to vote for themselves.Eight of this year's invitees — including The Daniels — were invited by multiple branches, and must select one branch to join upon accepting membership. «The Academy is proud to welcome these artists and professionals into our membership.
