Taylor Hawkins has died at the age of 50, his heartbroken Foo Fighters band members have announced. The band made shared the news on their official Twitter page, as they wrote: "The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. "His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever.
Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time." According to Daily Mail, the musician was found dead in a hotel room in the north of Bogota, Colombia, where the band were set to play at a festival on Friday 25 March evening.

Celebrities have flocked to social media to share their devastation over the news as Laura Whitmore posted a snap of herself posing with the drummer.
