A taxi driver was taken to hospital with a head injury after he was attacked in a back street in Cheetham Hill on Tuesday evening.
Police were first called to a disturbance on Langston Street in Manchester, near Strangeways at around 8pm, February 8. A small cordon was erected around a silver Skoda taxi, which had been left damaged in the incident. Glass was pictured beside the car, with the driver side window smashed. Enquiries had established that an altercation had occurred between a male and the driver of the taxi.
The driver, 35, was then assaulted and the car was damaged in the incident. He was taken to hospital with superficial head injuries but has been discharged following treatment.
