Quentin Jerome Tarantino (born March 27, 1963) is an American filmmaker, actor, film programmer, and cinema owner.
His films are characterized by nonlinear storylines, satirical subject matter, aestheticization of violence, extended scenes of dialogue, ensemble casts, references to popular culture and a wide variety of other films, soundtracks primarily containing songs and score pieces from the 1960s to the 1980s, alternate history, and features of neo-noir film.
It is always exciting to see a filmmaker you wouldn’t expect to express interest in a tentpole franchise say that they have a unique take on them.
So when Quentin Tarantino said last year that he wanted to make an R-rated “Star Trek” film, it was instantly met with curious eyes.
Sadly, it appears that Paramount is putting all Trek-projects on hold, including Tarantino’s. Though the project may not happen soon, we finally got some answers on what it would look like.
