Takumi Minamino's struggles in his latest Liverpool outing were down to Jurgen Klopp's decision to play him on the right of the front three, according to Kop icon John Barnes.
The Japanese international started alongside Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in attack against Everton on Sunday, with a not-fully-fit Mohamed Salah only a substitute.
Firmino started in his familiar central role with Mane operating from the left, leaving Minamino to fill Salah's right-sided role.
But Minamino lasted just 45 minutes at Goodison, struggling to make any impact during the goalless draw before being hooked at the break.
