Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief The Taiwan Creative Content Agency and Singapore’s public broadcast group MediaCorp, Tuesday, used the opening day of the Taiwan Creative Content Fest as the occasion to sign a memorandum of understanding.
Signatories includes TAICCA chair Homme Tsai and MediaCorp’s chief content officer Virginia Lim. The speakers said that the agreement is intended to facilitate co-production in the film and TV space, increase skills training and expand the volume of content that is of a quality to play in international markets.
Tsai said that he hopes Taiwanese companies will send production and management staff to Singapore for training. Lim said that production and creative talent should expand their range of co-operation.
The co-operative spirit was typical of the first day of the market, which boasts 101 exhibitor booths and over 300 international professionals, media, and buyers from 30 countries, according to the latest data from market officials.
