Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen have spent some of 2021 revisiting their older work: Van Etten recently dropped epic Ten, an album of cover songs that originally appeared on 2010's Epic, with artists like Fiona Apple and Shamir answering her call. This month, Olsen shared the boxset Song Of The Lark And Other Far Memories containing her projects All Mirrors and Whole New Mess plus the outtakes collection Far Memory.

Sharon Van Etten has officially released her cover of Daniel Johnston’s ‘Some Things Last A Long Time’, which appeared in a documentary last year.The singer-songwriter recorded the cover for the film Feels Good Man, a documentary about the creator of Pepe The Frog.While Johnston’s original is quite long at almost five minutes, Van Etten elongated the track even further, with her cover clocking in at six minutes and 10 seconds. As a tribute to their late bandmate Adam Schlesinger—who died on April 1 of COVID-19 complications—Fountains of Wayne will reunite for their first live performance in seven years. The reunion is taking place on the JERSEY 4 JERSEY coronavirus relief benefit concert on April 22. They’ll be joined by Sharon Van Etten, who will fill in on bass and backing vocals.
