HYBE has issued a letter to its shareholders discussing its strategy ahead of BTS’ upcoming break due to compulsory national service.On October 17, HYBE label Big Hit Music announced that all seven members of BTS intend to serve their compulsory military terms without special exemptions, beginning with eldest member Jin later this year. In their statement, the label shared that the group and agency had planned to reconvene some time in 2025.In the wake of the news, HYBE CEO Park Ji-won reportedly issued a letter to its shareholders outlining how it has planned for the hit boyband’s absence in the coming years.

Pledis Entertainment has shared a notice outlining fan etiquette rules after what it describes as “multiple cases of violation” of SEVENTEEN’s personal information and space.On October 6, Pledis Entertainment uploaded a notice regarding fan etiquette on the group’s official Weverse page. In it, the agency highlighted several examples and instances where SEVENTEEN’s privacy and safety had been violated by fans, followed by a list of fan etiquette rules and consequences of violating them.“Recently when SEVENTEEN leaves and enters Korea and other countries, there have been repeated activities threatening artists’ safety, such as excessive physical contact and taking photography or videos up close,” it stated.Pledis added that some fans had used “improperly acquired information” to end up on the same flights as the boyband, as well as causing discomfort and inconveniencing fellow passengers at airports and on flights by taking photos in unauthorised areas and rowdy behaviour.“There also have been multiple cases of violation of the fan etiquette by selling or buying artists’ personal information or invading artists’ privacy by visiting a personal space such as their houses,” said the agency.Pledis then outlined its official fan etiquette rules dissuading fans from visiting the group’s unofficial engagement avenues and private spaces, stalking, selling and purchasing their personal information and more.

SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan has teamed up with Spotify Singles to release his rendition of Harry Styles’ ‘As It Was’.Released exclusively through Spotify earlier today (September 30), the idol’s laid-back cover of the 2022 hit is the latest addition to the streaming platform’s K-Pop ON! project. “Nothin’ to say / When everything gets in the way / Seems you cannot be replaced / And I’m the one who will stay,” Seungkwan croons in the track.Apart from the single, Seungkwan has also released a “special film” treatment accompanying the track and sat down with Spotify for an exclusive interview.

SEVENTEEN singer Dino will miss the group’s performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and a concert in Houston, Texas after testing positive for COVID-19.South Korean label Pledis Entertainment published a statement Wednesday (August 17) announcing Dino’s absence from some upcoming promotional activities as he had tested positive for the coronavirus.“Dino took a PCR test in Los Angeles on August 16 (PT) and was confirmed with COVID-19. He is currently experiencing a mild sore throat and has been under self-quarantine and administering self-treatment, away from the other members,” wrote the label in an English statement shared to SEVENTEEN’s official Twitter page.

SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan recently underwent elbow surgery, according to his agency Pledis Entertainment.The entertainment company shared a statement today (June 17) on Twitter, sharing that Jeonghan underwent surgery on his right elbow on June 15 as a result of worsened damage to “his lateral epicondylitis and tendon”. It also noted that the singer had already been seeking “conservative treatment such as receiving injections” to the outer tendon of his elbow prior to the surgery.“The operation was successful, and the artist has been recuperating after being discharged as of Thursday the 16th,” Pledis Entertainment added.
