Josh Homme has shared a new and rare public statement about his ongoing legal battle with ex-wife Brody Dalle.The pair have been involved in a long-running public battle for custody of their three children. Both Dalle and Homme filed their respective restraining orders against each other in 2021, while Dalle was convicted in November of that year of one count of contempt by a Los Angeles judge for “wilfully” failing to hand her five-year-old son over to Homme in September as part of an agreed custody deal.Now, Homme has shared a lengthy statement, giving an update and claiming that a new permanent restraining order was granted against Dalle for a period of one year and 11 months, meaning she is not allowed to contact the Homme family, including Josh, his parents and the former couple’s three children.“Out of respect and concern for his minor children and their well-being, Joshua Homme has previously refrained from making public statements about his family to the media,” the statement began.

Queens Of The Stone Age album has seemingly been confirmed by Eagles Of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes.Eagles Of Death Metal were founded by Hughes and Queens Of The Stone Age mastermind Josh Homme, with the pair writing and recording all four of EoDM’s studio albums together.In a recent Instagram livestream, Hughes is asked “what have you guys been up to?” before the vocalist replies: “Recording”.Hughes goes on to say Eagles are “recording a new record. Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme has said making an album with country musician Nikki Lane “saved my life”.Homme served as producer on Lane’s upcoming album ‘Denim & Diamonds’, which will be released on Friday (September 23).In a post shared on Instagram yesterday (September 19), the QOTSA frontman reflected on working on the album. “Making a record with Nikki Lane saved my life,” he wrote.

Queens Of The Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri has said that he “took some time to heal” following his departure from the band.The musician was a core member of the Josh Homme-led group between 1998 and 2004, contributing to their albums ‘Rated R’ (2000) and ‘Songs For The Deaf’ (2002).Oliveri was fired by Homme in 2004, with the frontman accusing him of disrespecting QOTSA’s fans with his on-tour behaviour.The bassist reunited with the band in 2013 when he provided backing vocals on ‘If I Had A Tail’, which appears on their sixth record ‘…Like Clockwork’. He then joined Queens Of The Stone Age on-stage for the first time in 10 years in Portland, Oregon the following year.Speaking to Eonmusic recently, Oliveri opened up about his relationship with Homme.“You know, we’ve know each other for so long it’s just weird to be at each others’ throats,” he explained.
