Ryan Seacrest’s full career timeline: American Idol, Wheel of Fortune and more
Again.Ryan Seacrest, 48, was named the new host of “Wheel of Fortune” on Tuesday. He will succeed Pat Sajak, who recently announced he’s retiring next year. This is not Seacrest’s first game show, nor, of course, his first TV hosting gig.The Georgia native left the University of Georgia when he was just 19 years old to pursue a broadcasting career — which has been prolific.Let’s look back on Seacrest’s life on air.In 1993, Seacrest started his career as the host of “Radical Outdoor Challenge” on ESPN, according to US Weekly. The adventure-themed program featured kids competing against each other in challenges at Camp Thunder in Georgia.A year later, the young Seacrest landed yet another hosting role, this time as the co-host of the kids’ show “Gladiators 2000,” a spinoff of “American Gladiators.” The star got a big break when he scored a slot as a DJ on Los Angeles radio station KYSR-FM in 1995, per US Weekly. He left his post there briefly for a job in San Francisco, according to The Los Angeles Times, but returned in 1997 to co-host a popular afternoon radio show with Lisa Foxx.“People have asked me, ‘Why do you still want to do radio if you have an opportunity to do [more] TV?’ ” Seacrest told the LA Times in 2002.

‘Jeopardy!’ producer asks fans to forget ‘horrible’ episode: ‘Something we never like to see’
a whopping 23 times.“In this game, this has to be a record, 23 triple stumpers, and it’s something we never like to see,” producer Sarah Foss said on the “Inside ‘Jeopardy!” podcast. While no one is certain as to why there were a record number of clues left unanswered former champion Buzzy Cohen did give one possible reason.“Not good, you know it’s the last game before lunch, maybe everyone’s a little sleepy or something, a little hungry, but that’s a tough stat to carry with you,” Cohen said.Of all 23 triple stumpers, 7 happened in the first round while the last 16 occurred in “Double Jeopardy!”The large number of triple stumpers, produced the lowest Coryat scores, a contestant’s score if wagering isn’t factored in.One of the clues that became a triple stumper featured Vice President Kamala Harris.“This Californian is number two in line,” the clue read, according to J! Archive. Hoping not to draw too much attention to the painful viewing fans saw the week prior, the producers brushed off the show as something minuscule before moving into the next segment of the podcast.“Thankfully I’ve seen nothing go viral about it so it’s not gonna go viral, we’ve mentioned it briefly on the pod and we’ll forget it ever happened,” Foss concluded. Many fans were not thrilled with the contestants’ performance during the now infamous match, with some calling it the worst episode ever.“My God @Jeopardy how boring is tonights show.

Vanna White fears she will be fired from ‘Wheel of Fortune’: report
announced that he would be retiring from ABC’s hit game show after Season 41 in September – leaving co-host White, 66, without a partner-in-crime.But while some fans are calling for letter-turning White to replace Sajak, she fears that she actually could be let go from the series, according to an insider.“The next year is going to be quite the ride and Vanna wants to be a part of it all even after he leaves, and she hopes they don’t force her out,” a source close to White alleged to the Daily Mail on Tuesday. But the source also claimed that White has no interest in leaving the show, which she joined in 1982 — a year after Sajak did, in 1981 — and even has aspirations to become Sajak 2.0.“Vanna doesn’t want to leave ‘Wheel of Fortune’ even after Pat’s announcement of retirement, and she would highly consider taking over his role as host on the show,” the insider claimed. The Post has reached out to White’s representatives for further comment. The alleged insider even added that White is “in it for the long haul” and “would like to be a part of the selection process for Pat’s replacement, because if it is up to her, she is in it forever.” Her contract for the game show ends in 2024, according to the outlet. But according to  Bloomberg, there are others in the running — including longtime “American Idol” host and former “Live With Kelly” seat-filler Ryan Seacrest.
