Bjørn Gulden, chief executive of Adidas, has described the multiple antisemitic comments made by Kanye West last year as "very unfortunate," suggesting he does not believe the rapper and Yeezy CEO meant what he said. Gulden was speaking on the Norwegian podcast In Good Company where, as reported by The Guardian, he was asked about Ye's offensive remarks and the end of the business relationship between Adidas and his Yeezy brand. Gulden, who became chief executive at Adidas in early 2023, was working at Puma when Adidas ended their seven year relationship with Yeezy last year.

Adidas has formally announced its plans for some of the remaining stock of Kanye West's Yeezy footwear brand. The fate of the shoes, which are valued at $1.3 billion, was kept in limbo after West's antisemitic comments and the subsequent end of their business relationship in October 2022.

Adidas is currently figuring out what to do with its stock of unsold Yeezy shoes worth $1.3 billion, Billboard reports. The company ended its association with Yeezy founder Kanye West after his spate of anti-Semitic comments in late 2022.

Metro Weekly reached out to the managing partners of Bunker, and to the Mayor’s Office of Nightlife and Culture and its director, Salah Czapary, about these concerns, including the legal ability of venues to set specific dress codes involving clothing traditionally associated with one gender.In response, Q, a managing partner at Bunker, told Metro Weekly in a statement that the prohibition on certain footwear was adopted out of concern for the safety of patrons.“We recently implemented a no high heels and open-toed shoes policy at Bunker as a safety precaution,” Q wrote in an email. “Bunker is a dimly lit, underground dance club with concrete floors and steps.

All eyes might have been on Blac Chyna's court case this week but there's another intriguing battle involving a former part of the Kardashian-Jenner universe. Tyga's efforts to clear his name in a contest with sneaker company Vans reached federal court in Brooklyn on Wednesday with lawyers for Vans arguing that the rapper's "Wavy Baby" shoes violate trademark law (via Billboard). Tyga, in his defence, claims the shoes are an art project and thus not subject to the same laws.
