BBC addresses future of Beyond Paradise - and confirms Christmas special

The second series of Beyond Paradise ended on Friday 27 April with another case solved by DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) and his team, and also with the good news that the Shipton Abbot police station had escaped closure. Humphrey and Martha (Sally Bretton) didn’t actually tie the knot thanks to her mother Anne (Barbara Flynn) going a bit bridezilla with the preparations and then cancelling the whole thing, but there was still romance in the air, not just between the not-married couple but also because Kelby (Dylan Llewellyn) got a sweet peck on the cheek from CS Charlie Woods (Jade Harrison) as thanks for his help in solving a crime involving her grandmother.

Death in Paradise's Ralf Little shares 'nervous atmosphere' on plane during Storm Eunice
Death in Paradise star Ralf Little was facing a "nervous atmosphere" as his plane prepared to land in perilous conditions not seen in Britain for years. The 41-year-old had been on a flight from Edinburgh to London earlier today amid an environment which saw many planes banned from even leaving the runway due to safety fears. The short jaunt was expected to be less than an hour long, but that didn't stop a wide-eyed Ralf from worrying - and sharing his concerns with his followers."Very nervous atmosphere on this flight", a grimacing Ralf Little began, mask fixed firmly over his face."People looking scared, tense - and we haven't even taken off yet!"In another Stories slide, the captain could be heard warning: "Take your seats for landing"."Yeah, sit down please!" Ralf announced to the rest of the plane, eyes wide with what appeared to be mild fear.He then shared footage from Big Jet TV of the plane he was on swaying in the air before gliding down safely onto the runway of the airport. However, the tension on their short flight must have paled in comparison with the experience he'd tweeted about the previous day, when a Delta passenger had attempted to prise open the emergency exit door on the plane as part of a political stunt.According to newspaper footage, the passenger had hoped to be filmed during the heart-pounding moment - a dubious moment of fame which he'd planned to use to announce his anti-vaxx views to the world.Meanwhile, the Two Pints of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps podcast star, whose latest episode of Death in Paradise airs tonight, previously started a Twitter rant after learning that his flight would be delayed. An adrenaline-fuelled Ralf had first promised that he was "totally going to film the landing" as

Ralf Little fumes he's not a 'hypocrite' for flying amid 'relentless' climate change posts
Death In Paradise, has come down on those who decide to criticise him for travelling on planes whilst campaigning about climate change. The actor furiously denied claims he is a “hypocrite” and told any critics they are “missing the point”.He made the statements in a Twitter rant as his flight from Edinburgh to London was delayed due to Storm Eunice.Writing at around 12pm on Friday, Ralf told his 276,000 followers: “My Edinburgh to Heathrow flight is delayed until 1pm, but if it goes ahead, I’m totally going to film the landing and hope I can also watch it on Big Jet TV.“Also, nobody said this yet but getting [this] out ahead of it, I can tweet relentlessly about climate change and, sometimes, have to take flights without being a hypocrite.“We live in a system that we can fight to change (and I do), but we currently live in it nonetheless.“So, if like today, I have to take a flight because other options won’t work with a filming schedule, then so be it.“But I don’t take it lightly and will continue fighting for better and more eco-friendly transport infrastructure so I don’t have to in future. And, not that it solves everything, but I carbon offset all flights because it’s something.“So, if your response to this is, ‘one rule for you’ or ‘hypocrite’ or similar, then don’t waste your time because you’re a) wildly missing the point and the bigger picture, and b) being a d**k.”Ralf later updated fans that he had arrived in London safely and the landing was as “smooth as you like”.His Twitter thread received a positive response from users, who were thrilled Ralf had made it to the capital in one piece.Jon joked: “Good to see you landed safely.
