DI Neville decided he needed to go travelling and explore the world, prompting him to bid farewell to the Caribbean island in emotional scenes on Sunday, 24 March.
Neville got his happy ending too, as he eventually reunited with love interest Florence and they jetted off together. Fans have been left devastated by the exit, with many hoping Neville could make a return to Death in Paradise in the future.
