BioWare game testers working on the upcoming Dragon Age 4 will no longer be ordered to work back in the office.As reported by The Verge, the group of game testers contracted to Dragon Age 4 by company Keyword Studios were previously told they would need to return to the BioWare offices full-time starting May 9.Full-time Keywords staff were previously offered a hybrid work from home option instead, so the group of contract workers said the new order was unfair. However, it now seems BioWare has reversed the requirement, as an email sent on May 6 informed contractors that “until further notice please maintain working from home.”Keywords Studios contractors are currently seeking to unionise in order to improve worker protections, like paid sick leave and when testing positive for COVID-19.

BioWare has announced that the upcoming Legacy of the Sith expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic has been delayed until next year.Now releasing on February 15 2022, “additional testing” is being implemented to finish up the expansion, according to project director Keith Kanneg in an official blog post.“Legacy of the Sith is something the team has been hard at work on for quite a while but as we get ever closer to launch, it is clear that we need a bit more time,” writes Kanneg.

Beamdog’s 2018 remaster of Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition has just gotten even more “enhanced”, with a massive update that adds high definition models and textures to the classic RPG.In a Steam post announcing the pointedly titled HD Models & Textures Pack (as spotted by PC Gamer), Beamdog says it is “happy to announce that after several years of hard work, Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition models of player characters and their equipment (armour, weapons and shields) have finally been remade! Mass Effect Pinnacle Station downloadable content (DLC) to Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, as it wasn’t in the first game when it released. In 2009 the Pinnacle Station DLC wasn’t in the original Mass Effect on PS3 due to a loss of the original source code, and this impacted the possibility of it coming to the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition which launched earlier this year.Now, a group of modders have brought the Pinnacle Station DLC into the Legendary Edition, and it can be downloaded on Nexus Mods.“The ME3Tweaks group has ported this DLC across from the original game,” says the group in the YouTube video reveal. “While remastering it in the same vein as the Legendary Edition and fixing numerous issues.
