A ribbon cutting ceremony was held as Lanarkshire newest radio station officially launched across the airwaves.Listen Lanarkshire FM, part of Getting Better Together in Shotts, has been broadcasting since October last year on 107.7 FM in the town and surrounding areas.Offering factual, honest, reliable and locally relevant output, it is being delivered thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

It went really smoothly and we had around 50 people in attendance on the day.“We’ve been broadcasting since October 24 but waited to have the official launch when we had been trained up and gained a bit more experience with the new studio.“The event celebrated our progress and acted as a showcase for the presenters who gave listeners and guests a snapshot of what they do.
