The 19-year-old was on holiday in Tenerife when he vanished, with authorities in Tenerife on their ninth day of searching for the Lancashire resident.
Jay was attending a music festival when he reportedly called his friends to say that he was in the "middle of nowhere" and had one percent battery left on his phone.
His phone then cut off, with his last location showing as the Rural de Teno park - a mountainous area popular with hikers.The search continues for Jay, with authorities looking for him at tourist hotspots close to his accommodation.
