Dale Winton 'left his entire £2.1million fortune to a married BBC boss', Mark Linsey. Dale, who sadly passed away in April 2018 at the age of 62, was very close to Mark, the Beeb's then-Chief Creative Officer, and even served as godfather to Mark's three children.
According to The Sun, Dale left his millions, along with his holiday home in Florida, to Mark and his family. In a hand-written will, Dale – a close friend of the late presenter Cilla Black – asked for his ashes to be placed next to his mother's remains, who tragically took her own life in 1976.
Looking back on his celebrated life, Channel 5 is airing a special documentary, The Dale Winton Story: One Of A Kind available to watch on Saturday, 16 March from 8.40pm.
He also requested that gifts be left to three other friends. After settling his affairs, it was reported that Dale left a total of £2.22 million to his friend.
