The Super Bowl LVIII pre-game show featured Reba McEntire, Post Malone, and Andra Day taking the stage at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas before the Kansas City Chiefs vs.
San Francisco 49ers game. Day took the stage first to sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” known as the Black national anthem. The Golden Globe winner was joined by American Sign Language interpreter Shaheem Sánchez. “It’s a hymn of triumph, and that’s what I want people to encounter when I sing this song,” Day told People ahead of the big game. “I want them to know that we have victory, and we have peace already… It feels like there’s an honor.” Starting off Super Bowl Sunday right! @AndraDayMusic gives us a stunning performance of "Lift Every Voice and Sing!"
