warm sunshine this bank holiday weekend. After a miserable start to 2021, the summer climates have finally rolled into the country - with thermostats peaking into the highs of 22C.
And with the population now allowed to meet friends and family outdoors in the latest easing of coronavirus restrictions, Scots made the most of the sun today.
Groups of Scots were seen at the likes of the Meadows in Edinburgh, the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow and Ayr Beach to soak up the long-awaited sunshine.
Officials at Loch Lomond and Trossachs told tourists that a number of car parks in the area were either full or have very few spaces at around 9am this morning.
