Sunderland manager Tony Mowbray believes Manchester United loanee Amad deserves to be mentioned among the very best players in the Championship as he delivered an injury update on the forward.
The 20-year-old missed the Black Cats' 1-0 win over Norwich City on Sunday with a hamstring problem but Mowbray said after the Carrow Road contest that the injury was not serious one.
Sunderland host Sheffield United on Wednesday and Luton Town next weekend and the hope is Amad will be fit for the weekend. He has eight goals to his name during an impressive campaign that has led Mowbray to talk him up as one of the best players in the second tier.
