‘Suicide Squad’: James Gunn Releases An Alternate, PG-13 Rated Theatrical Version Of His DC Super Villains Trailer

They’re dying to save the world, and director James Gunn is apparently dying to show you a new version of his trailer. As you’ll recall, Gunn broke the Film Twitter internet last Friday with a red-band, NSFW trailer for his R-Rated “Suicide Squad” trailer.

It was quite a bit of fun and pointed to a new chapter in the ongoing DC Universe that’s less grim and gritty and self-serious and even further away from the version of “The Suicide Squad” that David Ayer released in 2016 (this one is a mild reboot that takes some of the same characters from Ayer’s movie and discards others).
