Strictly Come Dancing viewers are demanding that the Sunday results show is broadcast live as they accuse the BBC of 'pretending' that it is.

The elimination programme is actually pre-recorded straight after the live show on a Saturday night, with fans annoyed that presenter Claudia Winkleman kept referring to it as 'tonight's show' instead of Sunday's show.

Similar complaints were also raised last year, but the format has remained the same, writes Yorkshire Live. One of the reasons for the complaints is that spoilers leak out every week and many fans already know who is going to be eliminated before the dance-off is even shown, ruining the surprise on Sunday. And one fan even pointed out that the BBC is keeping up the ruse by adding subtitles live, instead of pre-added, to make the show appear as if the subtitles are being added to live speech.@mysteron_voice said: "#Strictly are even trying to promote the illusion that this is *actually* live by putting the subtitles on in real time ..."@nickh175 said: "Still don’t get why they need to treat us like idiots by keep repeating“So uve got past last nights/Saturdays show, how do u feel” - We all know it’s not liveTreat us like we have more common sense than that please #StrictlyComeDancing #strictly"@newtonbud said: "@bbcstrictly worst kept secret.
