Strictly star reveals 'life-changing' year and career goal as new mum

As 2025 approaches, Fleur East is full of gratitude for one major event that happened this year – she became a mum! At 37, Fleur and her other half, Marcel Madiane-Robin, were over the moon to welcome their little girl Nova in March.The star, who shot to fame on The X Factor, admitted motherhood has totally transformed her life. "It’s been a life-changing year – I’ve had a lot of experiences that have alteredthe course of my life careerwise," Fleur confessed. "But a big personal highlight is becoming a mum and I really didn’t know how that was going to change me or what it was going to do to my life.

But wow! It’s changed me in such a big way. I feel more motivated than ever before because I have Nova as my inspiration." September saw Fleur back to work, striking that perfect balance between her career and new role as a mum. "I won’t be taking a step back because since having Nova, she’s been absolutely everywhere with me," Fleur shared. "So when Nova grows up, I can go, ‘You met all these people when you were a baby.’ I mean, she met Katy Perry when she was five months old.

Nova doesn’t realise how lucky she is." Despite still exuding the same passion and drive on stage, Fleur says 2024 has reshaped her in the best ways possible. "I feel more of an internal change to be honest – nothing outwardly that people would notice," Fleur shared, opening up about her transformation since becoming a mum. "Even when I smile now, it’s not the same.

I thought I knew what love was, but Nova brings me joy like I’ve never experienced before. I feel love in its truest form now and it refocuses a lot as well.
