Strictly star hit by relationship 'curse' while performing on show as they found love backstage

When Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty took part in Strictly Come Dancing, it marked 'the beginning of the end' of his relationship.

Adam, who is considered one of the best male breaststroke swimmers in history, was hit with the 'Strictly curse' when he took part in the BBC show in 2021.The 29 year old swimming sensation was previously in a relationship with Eirianned Munro, having started dating in 2019.

During that time, they welcomed their son George before going their separate ways in 2022. Eirianned previously revealed that Adam's stint on Strictly in 2021 with dance partner Katya Jones - who had previously been embroiled in a scandal with Seann Walsh - marked "the beginning of the end" for their relationship.

During his time on the show, there was a moment where he nearly kissed Katya at the end of a passionate dance - something Eirianned later responded to with a playful video of her pretending to cry.
