Fellow DJ Roman Kemp broke down as he returned to the station for the first time since he found out. Popular Joe had worked at Global for nine years, on Capital and sister station LBC.
Roman, 27, and his co-stars Sian Welby, 33, and Sonny Jay, 27, took time off after hearing the devastating news. Details of his death are yet to be made public.
