Motsi Mabuse is being sued by her ex-husband Timo Kulczak after he alleged that she made "untrue" statements about him and their marriage in her autobiography.
In her 2022 memoir, the Strictly Come Dancing judge, 42, claimed that during their 11-year marriage, Timo, 45, paid her an allowance from her own earnings as a dance teacher and her TV appearances.
She also claimed that he stopped her from having a baby and would control her diet, and that he stopped her from opening her own dance school. The former couple, who met at a dance competition, married in 2003 and divorced in 2014, with Motsi later marrying her current husband Evgenij Voznyuk, with whom she now shares a daughter, in 2017.
According to legal documents obtained by The Sun on Sunday, Timo is now suing his ex-wife for £70k.The lawsuit has been filed at Offenburg Regional Court which means that as a German citizen, Motsi can't ignore it, meaning that either she or her lawyer will have to be present at the hearing. The document says that Motsi must stop "implying that the plaintiff made the defendant suffer during their marriage" and that she states “publicly the statements published in the book and cited press reports are untrue”.
