Strictly's Kai Widdrington shares new project away from BBC dancefloor

Strictly's Kai Widdrington has been seen with a Coronation Street actress joining him on-stage, taking a step away from the dance floor into panto territory.

Widdrington was part of the grand end-of-series display in the last episode of Strictly Come Dancing 2024, performing not only in the final group performance but also alongside musician Raye for a unique number titled Oscar Winning Tears.

After the series wrapped up, Kai dove straight into rehearsals for his pantomime role. It's been revealed that he will be starring as Captain Hook in Liverpool's The Auditorium at the M&S Bank Arena's production of Peter Pan this festive season, where he'll be working with ex-Corrie star Kimberly Hart-Simpson, who will be playing Tinkerbell.

The pro dancer took to Instagram earlier to share a promotional poster for the panto, which starts on December 17, featuring himself complete with an impressive moustache and inviting fans with: "It's panto season!
