Strictly Come Dancing star John Whaite defiantly urged those who criticised others' appearance to focus on themselves instead as "it'll make you a better person".The 32-year-old is a regular gym user and has said his morning workouts help him with his energy on the dance floor.Behind-the-scenes however, John's love of lifting weights began from a personal health issue.The Great British Bake Off winner said it was suffering from bulimia and body dysmorphia in his childhood that made him turn to workouts.He said: "I don’t work out so I can post pictures of myself on Instagram.
I don’t work out because I feel having muscular body shape makes me a better person."I work out because I am bulimic and because I have struggled with body dysmorphia.
