Strictly's Janette Manrara 'focusing on recovery' following C-section for baby Lyra's birth

Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara has opened up to her followers on her recovery just four weeks after giving birth to baby Lyra by C-section.

Janette, 39, welcomed her baby girl, with her Strictly pro-dancer husband, Aljaž Škorjanec, 33, on July 28, and has since been keeping her fans updated with her journey.The Strictly star revealed that she had started the recovery process to slowly get back to dancing as she explained “things were going well”.The star took to Instagram where she shared a picture of her post-partum body and informed her fans that she is “already feeling a little stronger”.

She captioned over the picture: “Postpartum update: Day 7 of recovery for the stage. “Been doing my exercises suggested from @hatch_athletic, to start the recovery process, for the past week and I already feel a little stronger and able to do more.” Janette continued: “Slow and steady wins the race.

Enjoying my food still though! Just focusing on recovery so I can be back dancing safely. “Every journey is completely different, but really enjoying mine and not putting any pressure on myself through out it.” Janette also explained in another Instagram story that she is working on her recovery as she has the Strictly Christmas show coming up, with the rehearsals starting in October.The mum also recently shared an insight into her daughter's first month and expressed her love for her "little human" in a heartfelt clip posted to her Instagram.
