I'm playing a whacky medium, a redhead who wears Dr Martens.”Speaking about the play, she continued: “It's an incredible ghost story with lots of twists – the whole way through you really don't know where it's going.”The play is an adaptation of Peter James’ book about the Harcourt family, who move into a haunted house. However, Debbie herself appeared to be a skeptic, admitting on GMB that she wasn’t a “believer” in clairvoyance. She said: “I can't have lived with a magician for 38 years and believe in things like that.“So I'm really having to act,” she added in reference to her stage debut.Debbie rose to fame as the assistant of her magician husband of 28 years, Paul Daniels, who died of a brain tumour aged 77 in March 2016.In late 2017, Debbie went on to be a finalist in BBC show Strictly.
