Amanda Abbington 'fears the BBC will bury its findings' into her complaint over Giovanni Pernice's behaviour during Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals.
The findings were expected to be made public earlier this month. The date fell in the same week that disgraced news reader Huw Edwards appeared in court over child abuse images.
A pal of Sherlock star Amanda told The Mirror: “They didn’t want two catastrophes in one week.” Speaking on condition of anonymity, the friend said of the probe: “They delayed it because of Edwards.
We can’t imagine they’ll do anything apart from carry on sitting on it and try to bury the investigation.” A BBC source told the publication: “The Strictly report and the Huw Edwards case are entirely unrelated.” Giovanni denies any wrongdoing. The show has been hit with controversy as they gear up to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
