Aljaž Škorjanec, 32, has explained how he wants to shift his focus to his family and be there to support wife Janette Manrara, 38, after quitting the BBC show.

Janette left the show a season before Aljaž in order to become co-host of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two alongside Rylan Clark.Aljaž has admitted he’s looking to be a “family man” in the immediate future after leaving the show in March to pursue new opportunities after nine years with the BBC.

He said: “I’ve taken a long, hard time thinking about my future and I want to enjoy some Aljaž time.“I’m a guy from Slovenia who left home when I was 17.

I want to enjoy being a son and being with my family and my sister, who I’m so close to.“My nieces, I see them getting taller and growing up, and I get homesick.
