Adam Thomas became teary-eyed on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday after the judges criticised his performance on the BBC One show.The ex-Emmerdale star, 35, performed a Tango to The Killers' Somebody Told Me with partner Luba Mushtuk during the second live show of the series.
While the judges praised his acting skills and the 'character' he portrayed on the dance floor, they criticised his footwork and technique.
Head judge Shirley Ballas told Adam: "Character good, footwork soft but mistakes and out-of-sync bits," while Motsi Mabuse said: "Acting skills helped sell it, more engaged and powerful but needed stronger technique." Adam fought back tears as he listened to the judges comments, with Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke giving him similar criticism.
He joined Claudia Winkleman and his Strictly co-stars upstairs, where he admitted: "I'm not smiling now, I'll be honest with you.
