Shirley Ballas has been forced to hit back at a nasty internet troll following a comment about her appearance.The Strictly Come Dancing head judge responded to the troll on Instagram and posted a screenshot of the direct message she'd received.

Shirley, 63, sadly told her fans that she tends to be targeted by trolls for often in the lead up to Strictly returning.The BBC One show will be back on screens in September, with Shirley taking her usual spot as head judge.

After the TV star shared a photo of herself, an Instagram user DM'ed her about her skin.The troll recommended she have her "warts removed" in a harsh message. "Shirley you always look stunning with hair and clothes," they began. ""Would you consider having the warts removed from your face?

I know you have lots of health and beauty treatments but I think this would be the best thing to do." The troll also added: "I don't mean this to be rude I completely admire you.Take care Shirley." Shirley shared a screenshot to her Stories of the interaction.
