Strictly finalists AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington are set to return to the show in 2022 after injury meant they couldn't participate in Saturday's ultimate line up.

AJ had to watch fellow finalists John Whaite and Rose Ayling-Ellis from the sidelines after injuring her ankle and having to be on crutches.

However it's been revealed she and dance pro Kai have been invited by BBC bosses to be in 2022's show.It is thought at this stage that they would dance on the show, due to air in September next year, as a special one off.An insider told The Sun: "The winner of the show returns to perform again for one dance when the series starts up again and it’s been suggested AJ could be allowed to come back for one last turn on the dance floor."AJ was in
