Strictly Come Dancing is nearing its festive climax, but it's still tough for fans to say goodbye to their favourite dancers and celebrities.
Especially when the exit is due to injury as opposed to a dance-off and judge's vote. After a consistently popular run for Nigel Harman and Katya Jones, the pair were announced as casualties of the programme's intense physicality on Saturday (December 2) afternoon.
Harman and professional Katya ones were due to perform a Charleston to Step In Time from Disney’s Mary Poppins before it was announced on Saturday afternoon that he would no longer compete due to the injury.
Due to Harman’s departure the show had no public vote or elimination this weekend. However, the musical-themed episode did see screen and theatre star Layton Williams score the first perfect 40 of the series.
