Strictly Come Dancing star shocks fans with painful procedure just hours before next show

Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Hauer has left her fans worried after she underwent an intense session of cupping therapy on Friday, 13 October, only 24 hours before the next live show kicks off on BBC One.

The 41 year old Venezuelan professional dancer showed her fans the reality of the treatment, as she lay face-down with cups placed all over her back.

Her flesh looked red raw, but the star told her followers that she was pleased as she also underwent a form of acupuncture at the same time. "Baby got back. @dareyl #cuppingtherapy #acupuncture," she captioned the post. "We hope you are OK for Saturday," one worried fan shared in the comments, while another joked that they initially thought the image showed baked goods instead. "At first glance I thought they were cakes - Shows where my mind always is," they laughed, as a series of people responded "me too" underneath.

Others were more concerned about Karen undergoing the treatment right before she gets back on the dance floor with her celebrity partner and comedian Eddie Kadi this weekend. "Don’t be wearing a backless dress this weekend #bruises," one Strictly fan wrote.
