Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has been flooded with support after sharing the emotional moment she shaved her head. The talented dancer has been candidly sharing her journey after being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer.
Amy, who is taking a break from the BBC One dance content amid treatment, announced in June she had been diagnosed with cancer and underwent a mastectomy and reconstruction after receiving her cancer diagnosis.
The surgery came after she discovered a lump in her right breast before going on her honeymoon with her husband Ben Jones. The Caerphilly-born dancer then later confirmed after her surgery that doctors found another type of cancer which she described as a “massive blow” as it meant she would not be able to compete in Strictly this year as she'd have to undergo chemotherapy.
