Strictly Come Dancing's Alex Scott opens up on seeking therapy after internet trolling

Strictly Come Dancing star Alex Scott has revealed that severe online trolling led her to seek therapy over the last year. Partnered with pro Neil Jones during the 2019 series, the 35-year-old finished in fifth place after getting eliminated during Week 11.

Yet outside of the limelight, the poisonous atmosphere on social media proved too much for the former footballer, who had to deal with all kinds of hateful comments.

Speaking at a special International Women's Day event, Alex explained (via The Sun): "The past year has been really hard in terms of trolling.

It led me to go and seek therapy, to speak about it. And it's the best thing I've ever done. "I would say I'm still on a journey.
