Strictly Come Dancing professional makes plea to return to show as she says 'I want to go back'

A former Strictly Come Dancing star has expressed her eagerness to return to the show's dancefloor. Janette Manrara, who now presents the BBC's Strictly spin-off, It Takes Two, alongside Fleur East, was once a familiar face among the professional dancers on the main programme.

In a conversation with head judge Shirley Ballas this evening, Janette disclosed her desire to make a comeback to dancing on the hit series.

Shirley, when quizzed about her own dance preferences for the show, hinted at a twirl with Anton du Beke and then turned the question to Janette, who enthusiastically responded: "I want to go back!" Janette's fans were smitten with her performances, and many were sad to see her leave in 2021, after an impressive eight-year stint.

Reflecting on her decision to step down, she remarked: "I'll definitely be an even bigger cheerleader, now I'm not involved.
