Strictly bosses shut down favouritism claims after Zara McDermott saved from dance off

Strictly Come Dancing bosses have spoken out in response to favouritism reports, which claimed EastEnders star Bobby Brazier, 20, and documentary maker Zara McDermott, 26, were being favoured over other celebrities on the show.

The statement comes after a drama-filled Strictly week which saw Amanda Abbington leave the show and Eddie Kadi shockingly dumped, despite scoring the first 10 of the series a few weeks ago.

It had also been rumoured that a few contestants had received preferential treatment from Strictly bosses, however these rumours were quickly shut down as show chiefs have revealed they are “simply untrue”.

A Strictly source claimed to The Mirror: “All of the judges are hugely experienced individuals who judge on dance and dance alone in the main show and in the dance offs.
