Nicola Adams and Katya Jones may have seen their historic Strictly Come Dancing partnership pulled from the show early but they may be asked to return in 2021.

Strictly bosses have had to act swiftly after 31-year-old Katya tested positive for coronavirus after she left her bubble to 'get a sandwich' from a local shop during rehearsals.

This has meant that she has had to go into isolation, as well as her partner on the dance floor, Nicola, 38, which has led to them having to exit the BBC show as they will miss two weeks of live shows.

Judge Motsi Mabuse has also had to isolate after an 'emergency trip' to her home in Germany, meaning she will also miss two live shows and It Takes Two presenter Rylan Clark-Neal has been told to stay home
